This is an evocative loop trip along paved roads with little traffic and paths inside the wood.
What we will see
The river Bardello, emissary of Lake Varese, and the creek Fosso Monvallina descend from Besozzo mountains and water the plains towards the lake.
Into these lands inserts a path which connects the windmils, which in the past contributed to the subsistence and the wellness of the local communities (some of these windmills are today private residences).
It’s a simple wavy route which has got some parts averagely demanding, on cobblestone. In Gemonio it will be possible, according to the opening hours, to visit Innocente Salvini’s museum.
